Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this GSI Outdoors, Rakau full-sized beechwood tongs, and you can prepare delicious meals outside at your camp site using these full-size tongs. Let's take a closer look at them together. Now, these tongs, as you can see here, are constructed from wood and this wood is a sustainably sourced Forest Stewardship Council certified beechwood. So these tongs are lightweight, yet they are strong and durable and they are flexible to allow you that ability to grab the items that you are cooking. And so they're gonna last you a good long time.
They are finished with a natural oil and they are safe to use on nonstick cookware. And let me just give you some overall measurements here. We are gonna be sitting at the overall length of about 12 inches long, and then at the widest point, we're gonna be sitting right at about an inch and a half wide, it looks like at the widest point. And these tongs do have a hole here at the top, so you can hang these for storage or run a cord through and secure them with other cooking utensils for easy storage and transport. And these do have a limited lifetime warranty as well.
Now, before your first use, it's a good idea to wash these with hot water and a mild detergent. Use only non-abrasive cloths or cleaners, and do not soak this in water, as on that could damage the wood surface, and to sterilize the wood surface, you would just wipe with either pure white vinegar or a mixture of one tablespoon of chlorine bleach in 64 ounces of water. Of course you wanna always allow it to dry completely before storing. Now, GSI also has a few other cooking utensils made from this sustainable beechwood. They do have a full-size spatula you can find on our website item number GSI72ZV, and they also have a full-size chef spoon constructed out of this beechwood.
You can find that on our website item number GSI82ZV. Now, if you're looking for a more traditional set of outdoor cooking utensils, Coghlan does have a set of three made out of nylon, and you can find that set on our website item number CG32FV. Well, that's gonna do it for our look today at this GSI Outdoors Rakau full-size beechwood tongs. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
